I just finished an ARC of "Everybody Knows" and thank you. What an indictment of Hollywood and power wrapped inside a great crime novel.
Am I totally off base or is there an undercurrent of "Day of the Locust" in it? My thought was that while the characters in "Day of the Locust"'are the bottom of the chain and yours are the top, the common thread is that the Beast will never stop running, and that everyone is just food for it.
