I'm ready for the new book, very ready! "First you make it and then you make it good" works best for me. Rushing headlong, not thinking too much, just run run run, in the zone... and then when it's over, rework, which brings its own pleasures, of a more contemplative nature. Maybe I'm touching the membrane in that sprint... I don't know, but it feels great.
Congratulations on the new book! Excited to read it. She Rides Shotgun stuck with me and proved a welcome jolt of something just beyond the membrane. Thank you for the shot in the arm. It’ll be rattling in my head when I sit down at the desk tomorrow morning. Hope it’s a smooth and encouraging book tour.
Re-reading all of your Hammer Party posts and this one is really sticking the most. Enjoyed Everybody Knows, and Love and Other Wounds, looking forward to She Rides Shotgun. This post also has me interested in Alain Badiou.
